The California Towhee, or Melozone crissalis, is in the Passerelidae Family. This recording was taken on the North-West end of Harvey Mudd’s campus, on the ground near a patch of shrubs. This sound is an example of a Towhee’s call, and was particularly notable for its sharp chirp-like sounds, apparent on the stenogram.
